Neptune Opposition

The giant planet Neptune glows eerily in this infrared view from James Webb Space Telescope. Faint rings encircle the planet. Neptune’s largest moon, Triton, is the bright blue-green object at top left; the spikes are an artifact of the telescope’s construction. Several smaller moons are visible as well.
