In the March/April issue of StarDate magazine, StarDate editors celebrate the 75th anniversary of Pluto's discovery with articles about the tiny planet's past and present. In "Chipping Away at a Mysterious Iceball," Rebecca Johnson describes the secrets astronomers have pried from the double planet and looks forward to next year's launch of NASA's New Horizons mission to Pluto and the Kuiper Belt. In "And Then There Were Nine," Damond Benningfield describes Clyde Tombaugh's discovery of Pluto, including newspaper clips from 1930 and a 1994 interview with the late Tombaugh.
