The Rosetta spacecraft snapped this image of one of its solar panels with Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko in the background on October 7, at a distance of about 10 miles (16 km). A "jet" of gas is streaming into space from the surface of the comet, which consists of two lobes connected by a narrow neck. Rosetta will deploy a small lander on November 12.
