Science by Solar Eclipse

$2.50

Total eclipses of the Sun may be the most spectacular of all celestial events. It's not their beauty that entices astronomers to travel long distances to see them, though, but their utility. The coincidence of size and place that occasionally allows our Moon to exactly cover the Sun's disk has provided a laboratory through which astronomers have greatly expanded our knowledge not only of the Sun itself, but of the solar system and the universe.
