Helix Nebula

$8.00

This colorful image shows the last gasp of a dying star. As it dies, it expels its outer layers of gas into space. The star's surviving core energizes the gas, causing it to glow like a neon bulb. Shot by Tom Montemayor at McDonald Observatory, the photograph is 8x10 inches and includes a descriptive caption.
