	Pictures and Bios Sandy Wood, a veteran radio broadcaster and voice talent, became StarDate announcer in September 1991. She has been a radio disc jockey and talk-show host, and has written scripts for national and local radio productions. She also is an accomplished radio voice talent, and has recorded radio spots and other programming for national, regional, and local clients. Damond Benningfield is the writer/producer of both StarDate and Universo and executive editor of StarDate magazine. Teresa Fendi de la Cruz is the Universo announcer. A popular newscaster and radio personality in El Paso, Texas, she has been the Universo announcer since the program first aired in April 1995.
