The Moon looks like it's being pinched in this recent view from the International Space Station. The view is distorted because the Moon is viewed through a thick layer of Earth's atmosphere, which acts as a lens, "bending" the moonlight at different angles. The Moon and Sun can look distorted when viewed from the surface as well, although not quite to this degree. [NASA]
