Saturnian Traffic Jam
Titan and Dione, two large moons of Saturn, pose against the golden planet and its rings in this image from the Cassini spacecraft. Titan, Saturn's largest moon, is in the foreground, and is slightly blurred by its motion across Cassini's field of view. Titan has a thick, cold atmosphere that is topped by an orange haze that is similar to smog. Dione is an airless moon with an icy surface. The rings form the horizontal line behind Titan, and they cast shadows that are seen as the dark bands and the solid black zone below Titan. [NASA/JPL/SSI]
