Hiding Places
Billowing clouds of warm interstellar dust glow bright orange in this combined visible and radio view of a part of the Orion Molecular Complex, a vast region that is giving birth to new stars. Many of the dust clouds are invisible to the eye, but their temperature causes them to glow at longer wavelengths. This region is close to the Orion Nebula, which is the largest stellar nursery in our part of the galaxy. [ESO/APEX (MPIfR/ESO/OSO)/T. Stanke et al./DSS 2]
