On Duty
Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer-2, the bright white box at top center, is ready for astronomical observations after its May 19 installation aboard the International Space Station. Space shuttle Endeavour ferried it to orbit. The instrument will study cosmic rays and look for dark matter and antimatter.
